On April 5, 2024, HITA’s President and Secretary participated in the University of Houston Downtown Language and Health Symposium, contributing to discussion and collaboration among healthcare interpreters, educators, and industry leaders.
National Healthcare Interpreter Certification Summit
On April 6, 2024, they joined the second National Healthcare Interpreter Certification Summit, which marked 15 years of national healthcare-interpreter credentialing and included discussion of the profession, legislative updates, and certification outlooks.
